Dr. Saif Ali Al-Hajari, Environment Director, Doha 2016
Dr Saif Ali Al-Hajari is the Environment Director of the Doha 2016 Bid Committee.
Dr Al-Hajari is the founder and Chairman of Qatar’s Friends of the Environment Centre, the leading environment organization in the country.
Dr Al-Hajari holds various posts, including Vice Chairman of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development; Chairman of the Board of Governors of Qatar Academy; Vice Chairman of the Shafallah Centre for Children with Special Needs; and General Supervisor of the Al-Noor Institute for the Blind.
He graduated from the University of Qatar with a degree in Geology and Marine Sciences, going on to earn his doctorate in Geology from the University of South Carolina in the US.
